final wrap up

This is my final day here in social media I had tons of fun looking at alot of cool websites some i can benefit greatly fun, and some that were just fun to use. I personally loved: wordel and the word clouds, firefox persona, meez. I thought those were the ones I remember most about. The down parts were when it a while to explain about them because i just love using the tools.  When we had to present our own tool i think that stuck with me most because i had to research it aqll on my own i enjoyed that. To improve this class for me would be...... well i am not for sure there were ups and downs but the downs i think were needed like the explaining i may not like it but i needed it to here about it so i can use it. I used to use only facebook and games now i know i will use more thanks to this class i had fun!

Imagination Cubed

This is a place where you can draw all kinds of things. There are some tools like shapes and cool design pen and stamps. There is also a lot of colors to use as well. One bad thing about it is if you run out of ink then if you keep drawing with it then it automatically erases it.You can also have a friend join by sending them an email. I have some pictures Of what me and my friends did on it. You should check it out have fun.

Templates!!!!!

Templates are a way to design or to make it easier for you to make word
documents power points and spread sheets. We are looking at the google docs templates today. The templates on google are really cool. There are different spreadsheets for like budget and bills. There are also calendar spread sheets as well. There different designs so that you can make holiday cards or just plain cards. You can make all kinds of stuff using templates I strongly suggest that you check them out.

firefox add-ons

Firefox add-ons help you get to a site that you want faster. This is a really cool tool. I haven't added many but I have added a drum one where you can play the drums I think it is really cool. Although i haven't added many you can chose from thousands. There is a dislike and like button on the pages which i think goes to your facebook. I hope you have fun searching for firefox add-ons.

Picasa!!

Picasa is the google tool that i explored. This is a great thing to use. Picasa allows you to edit photos, make collages,and make movies. The movie thing is pretty much a slide show its not fancy at all but it works to show pictures.The collages have different layouts. The picture frame is my favorite set up. You just selects photos and then click collages it is really cool. On picasa when you edit pictures there are a few basic editing tools, but it also has a link to picnik. Its really cool you should check it out.

google docs!

Google docs is really cool. Google docs allows you to write a paper at home and school so you dont have to worry about having a jump drive or that kind of documents. On google docs you have the basics of the spread sheets, word document or what ever, but it also has this extremely cool tool where you and someone else can work on it while you do. This comes in handy when you are doing a partner project.

TInychat

Tiny chat is a chatroom. A chat room you can go into and just talk to your friends. You can send a private message to a person. This is really cool site to see. In tiny chat you can have a webcam and talk via webcam. I think that is a really cool feature check it out at tinychat.com .

favicon

An icon is a little picture to identify your page. In social media we used a website called favicon.cc to make ours. On favicon you can upload pictures from your desk top. Or you can do what I did you can create one like i did. On my page you can see some. You should check the website out. It is useful so that when you have a website people can identify it by that little picture.

blog this

Blog this is a link that you can add to your toolbar at the top of your fire fox. You can highlight any information that you like and blog it. It can help like maybe you saw information or the website at hat you want to share you  can highlight it then hit you blog this button and show everyone the information that you think is useful. you can go to blogthis.com

Domains

A domain is a short or easy url that you used.You can go to sites to buy domains or even auction or sell them. One of the websites you can go to is godaddy.com You can set up an acount see the ones available look at the ones being auctioned off and also auction your own there. When you choose a domain there are a few things that you will want to keep in mind. One is that you want it to have something to do with what your site is. Another is keep it short and easy. That way it is easier to remember. Avoid slang words. Those were just a few but you can look more up on google.

persona firefox

Persona firefox is a website that allows you to change the look of you firefox for your certain computer. This is more like a fun thing rather than a useful tool. I think it is really cool to see and makes it look cooler. The down side is some of the writing is hard to see what the tabs and things like that say. bibme

This website helps you cite sources for a research paper you may use. It is a very useful tool to use all you need is the title of the thing you were using or a url or whatever. The website will cite it with the info they know then you can save it to you bibliography on the cite. You can also have a login for this. This website will help me lots I have never known how to site. Here is some pics of the website and a search i did. Click her to see the site.

     I google is a fun website there are some very useful gadgets on here. also there are some fun gadgets you put them on a page and organize them for easy use. This website is good to keep the weather time and date etc. gadgets all together. I use this website for fun. You can design a page. On here there are a few pics of mine.

Blog Gadgets

On the blog there are gadgets that you can use. These gadgets can be very useful and some are kind of fun. They can be useful because there are like weather reports, calenders and more. Besides all the useful things  there are games and little animal things like fishes. If you look to the side of my blog you see my fishes. In the picture they are eating.

HiStats

This websites lets you to make many different kinds of counters for you different websites. You would want a counter to rack how many people view your website or blog. This is cool because you never know that people are viewing it with out one of these. Also if its your goal to get many viewers on you website then you can keep track with one. Histats is a website to find them.

There is a new gadget on this website that is called stats. With this gadget you can see how many people look at you blog. You can see what days around what they looked at it too. There is also a part where you can see where the people that view it live. I think this is a pretty good gadget you should check it out.

Meez chat

You can go into peoples room and talk to the people inside the room through chat. With this chat you not only speak but there are key words that can get your character to do some really cool actions. It is very fun to get alot of people in a room. A down fall from the meez chat is anyone can talk to you and everyone in the room see your  you can check it out if you get a meez acount

wordclouds

This is where you type in bunches of words and the website will mix up the words into different ways. It ends up really cool. You can type in any words that you want if you type the word more than once then the word will become bigger. You can change the scheme and colors of the words. Meez room

On meez you can make your own room i made mine to day. The first room i made wasn't anything special it is a bed room. The bed room walls are brick the floor is wood. In the room i have a cola machine, a chair, a bean bag, and a bed. If you have more money you can make better rooms. Here's mine

faviki

   This website is a partner to wiki they got the name from favorites wikipedia shortened and together. There is a thing where you can tag on this  website like the other websites that i have posted. There is also categories you can use. This looks like a simple site. Click here to see more

symbaloo

   This website is one of many social bookmarking websites. It organizes all of your book marks like the others that i posted about. This one doesn't have as many features as the others. This is a good one if you want a simple website. This isn't one of my favorites though. click here

Diigo

 This is a website i haven't explored much but it sounds pretty good. The website allows you to highlight words on any website and it will save those words and that url. It also allows sticky notes to be posted on websites too. I cant wait to explore it more. Click here to see the website.

Top 5 Reasons to use Deliscious

1. Delicious can keep all of your bookmarks organized.
2. They will stay on your account so that you will never lose them.
3. If you go to a website you really like there is a tool you can use to tag it right there.
4. You can share book marks with others.
5. You can look at others bookmarks for certain things.

I think that this is a useful web for teachers and if students have a big assignment also. Since it can keep everything organized it will help for those situation. I think this is a great website and to visit it click here

So far this is my favorite. This tool is just for fun you can brighten people's days by sending a talking pic to your friends. I like this cause you can use your own pictures. That is just one of the cool features. One of the down falls though is that you cant change the back ground but that is the only one i think anyone that wants to have fun they should go to this site and send someone one of these things.

Meez

If I would rate this website I would give it a nine. This is because for the most part it has great tools for avatars. You have way more choices than voki and you can personalize it. One bad thing is that for somethings you have to buy the item. That is the only bad thing that i can think of it is mostly free for those things. You can play games to get more points to buy for cool things, so i highly suggest this website if you want a cool avatar.

voki!!!!

An avatar is the tool i used today on voki. An avatar is a picture cartoons clipart etc. to express your self online. There are several different kinds and websites to use these. today we used voki.


Whats on voki? A voki is a avatar website this websites allow our avatar to talk. You can make it talk using a few different tools like you can use your cell phone or a micro phone to use your own voice or you can also type and change the accents of it. The avatar can move the eyes will follow your mouse which i think s kinda cool. The only thing that i do not like about this site is since it is free there aren't as many choices, but at least its free. This is a cool website to visit, and mess around on so you should create and account now.

how i currently use social media

My favorite thing to do is talking to my friends on facebook and keeping up with what they are doing. Especially the friends that don't live near me. 

I use facebook so i can see what my friends in the other towns or states are doing mostly, but i also like looking at everyones pictures.It is a good source to see how people change. I use picnik and edit pictures that my friends and me put on there.

I want to Learn all kinds of stuff so i have more things to do on the computer.
